Socialism…on a roll
Former KGB agent Yuri Bezmenov accurately covered the issues occuring now with respect to socialism's normalization. The forces for freedom need to make it widely known that the socialist vision isn't about "free" healthcare or the simple raising of taxes on the wealthy. Those are merely staring points. In every historical example, socialism seeks to eliminate personal freedoms completely.
What starts as mere envy and emboldened state power always ends in famine, persecution, and death.
The socialist assault on intelligence…
Absolutely pathetic.
This nonsense is definitely what I also experienced in an institution that has become rotten to the core.
Every socialist knows that one of the first things they must do to bring down a free society is to dumb down its population to minimize resistance.

“The Private Life is Dead”
When Hollywood was less enamoured with socialism.
Just so you know…
(This is speculation, of course).
Iran will break from the looming agreement and resume hostilities and non-cooperation a few months before the midterms, thus raising the cost of oil/gasoline, and attempting to sway American elections in their favor (since Democrats' position is always beneficial to them).
The “1%”
The collectivists are having a fit. One of us (Elon Musk) has reached the trillion dollar mark. Not because he has a trillion dollars in a Swiss bank account or buried in his backyard. He’s achieved this monumental amount in wealth in assets — owning shares of companies in some of the most advanced technologies of our time. After years of risk, achievement, failure, and uncertainty, Elon Musk has reached a pinnacle. Miraculously, I awoke the next day with the same amount of wealth. If we believed the nonsense that socialists are now spewing, you’d think that Musk was hitting people over the head and taking their wallets. Instead, a lot of people associated with him are richer as well. So…
Among some, attaining success and financial reward is “greedy” while wanting to steal another’s’ wealth is somehow an act of altruism. The state has squandered trillions yet one never hears establishment journalists and college professors decrying government’s pervasive “greed” in wanting more from everyone.
Money is a symbol. A symbol of energy/power. The effort and thought expended and transferred in daily transactions. Directed energy, when not impeded, channels into diverse locations and inevitably increases wealth.
The state is a parasite. Aside from some futile attempts to produce stated goals of value, it merely siphons and redistributes. While ideologues can conjure a million reasons to steal based on moral sentiments, their house is glass and their rocks have no intention of “helping” anyone.
Already, the luminaries of American socialism (Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, “AOC,” et al. ) are calling for “justice” (seizure of a portion Elon Musk’s assets. Of course, that portion would increase over time. There are some -- particularly in Europe -- calling for his arrest).
Again, we hear the stupid argument meant to impress the economically illiterate that, “no one needs a trillion dollars.” Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren used to say this about millions — until they became owners of millions. Of course, most billionaires don’t just sit on a pile of cash. They invest their wealth. A good portion of Musk’s trillion will directly and indirectly finance human expansion to the planets. Bernie Sanders and AOC will not be helping humans to establish colonies on Mars. Socialists can’t even raise homeless drug addicts off the streets of Los Angeles. Socialists simply command. Command and “plan.”
This issue isn’t about percentages and “fairness.” It’s about an archaic and primal sentiment that codifies envy and rage. The left’s irritations aren’t just about envy of wealth but envy of success and productivity.
Cuba and Venezuela are examples of socialism “working.” The state and ruling one-party ideologues suck the economic vitality of their nations dry. When the successful hosts have had their assets seized, laws are passed making it illegal to produce more “obscene” wealth. From there, a nations vitality spirals downward into destitution.
After other people’s money dries up, laws are enforced forbidding criticism of the parasitic class and for those who get in the communists way, the final road to “justice” leads to the guillotine and gulag.
Your freedom is an illusion…

A Tale of Two Visions
I’d be the first to admit that much of Donald Trump’s taste is downright tacky — gold leaf coughed up on everything. It has the aesthetic charm of a circus in Las Vegas in the 1970’s. That said, he does occasionally get it right, particularly when it comes to large public structures. He’s made no secret of his appreciation for neoclassic facades, returning Washington D.C. to the grandure origionally intended. (Contrast this with the notorious aesthetic abomination that is the FBI’s headquarters).
It’s the Country’s 250th anniversary this year so Trump wants a Washington that’s crime-free, clean, and an impressive testament to the nation’s Greco-Roman roots.
There’s been considerable debate over Trump’s construction of a ballroom addition to the White House. It’s been discussed before by other presidents. It’s hardly the first alteration to the White House. It’s beyond practical and one could even argue that it’s neccessary. Hosting world leaders in a tent is hardly an expression of dignity.
Democrats and their allies of course are throwing a fit over Trump’s ballroom (the initial construction is privately funded). ‘Just another example of opposing something solely because Trump supports it. One can be sure that, if it was Obama or Biden’s idea, the press would be praising the project as a noble act of patriotism.
Trump has had the area around Union Station revitalized, removing dirt and grafitti, revealing beautiful marble statuary. The reflecting pool

in front of the Lincoln memorial has been cleaned up going so far as painting the pool’s bottom blue to enhance the reflection of the sky above.
Recently, Trump’s son Eric revealed the plan for Trump’s presidential library to be built in Miami, Florida. While the design isn’t neoclassical and has elements worthy of criticism, it contrasts strongly with the ugly brutalist monument made for Obama’s library.
In always seeking to be on the cutting edge of the “revolutionary,” the left’s aesthetic taste is often tarnished by wanton ugliness. Conservatives favor tradition and in the case of building design, they are more likely to favor the cool clean symmetries of a marble column over rusted metal grid patterns, and bizarre abstract sculptural design.
One can of course endlessly debate preferences in creative design and some things are actually relative but architectural references to the great civilizations of antiquity are probably preferable to graffiti, litter, and neglect.
